Mathematically verified, original, and balanced problem sets vetted against existing literature.

Integrity Auditing

Zero-tolerance cheating policy with automated token similarity analysis and strict AI usage bans.

Universal Formats

Conforming to standard ICPC, AtCoder, and IOI rulesets with real-time testcase verification.

Global Divisions

KCPC operates a distributed, regionally structured division model designed to support cross-university collaboration at scale.

Europe

Prospective collaboration with institutions including Cambridge, Oxford, Imperial, Edinburgh, and King’s College London.

Asia

Prospective engagement with universities such as NUS, NTU, the University of Tokyo, and KAIST.

North America

Prospective connections with institutions including MIT, the University of Toronto, and the University of Waterloo.

Each division represents a growing network of prospective institutions selected for their strength in competitive programming, algorithmic research, and technical training. Current divisions span Europe, Asia, and North America, with active outreach and participation from leading universities within each region.

Division Structure

KCPC problem-setting divisions operate as small, high-trust units designed for depth, speed, and technical excellence. Each division follows a compact and deliberate structure that maximises ownership, collaboration, and quality control.

  • Team leader: provides strategic direction and coordination for the division, ensuring that problem output remains coherent, focused, and aligned with departmental objectives.
  • Support attaché: serves as the first and most critical quality gate, rigorously reviewing and attempting to break problems before they are escalated beyond the division.
  • Problem setters: form the creative and technical core of each division, collaborating to design, refine, and stress-test original competitive programming problems.
Internal & Partner-Affiliated Teams

KCPC operates both internally appointed problem-setting divisions and partner-affiliated teams. While organisational origins differ, all teams adhere to the same technical standards, review rigor, and competitive integrity policies.

  • KCPC Internal Divisions: composed of KCPC-appointed members operating fully within the Problem Design & Research Department.
  • Partner-Affiliated Divisions: operate jointly with external organisations under formal collaboration frameworks.
Technical Review Commission

The Technical Review Commission is the final integrity barrier between problem development and deployment within KCPC’s Problem Design & Research Department.

Operating independently from all authorship teams, the Commission exists to ensure that every problem released under KCPC is correct, robust, unexploitable, and competitively fair. This body enforces the standards that distinguish serious competitive programming from casual problem writing.

  • Problem Integrity Review Chair: coordinates the Technical Review Commission and ensures consistent application of integrity standards across all divisions.
  • Problem Integrity Reviewer: conduct independent, adversarial technical audits of problems produced by KCPC and partner-affiliated divisions.
